      <image:caption>The first step in designing a Linear Induction Motor is to generate a model of the magnet array geometry that it is based on. The magnetic flux peaks determines the coil spacing. With the help of Dr. Michael Moloney, a simple model using magnetic surface charges was developed and a simulator was created in MATLAB. This is the result of that model given a 5x2 array of magnets.</image:caption>
